How to reach Reggio Calabria

Reggio Calabria is served by Aereoporto dello Stretto: there are two operators that offer daily flights to Reggio Calabria from Rome and Milan (see https://www.blue-panorama.com/ and https://www.alitalia.com/ for timetable and price).

Another possibility is to fly to Lamezia Terme (https://lameziaairport.it/), which is connected to several European cities. Then, take either the train (~2h - http://www.trenitalia.com/) or the shuttle bus (~1,5h - https://www.star-bus.it/) to Reggio Calabria

How to get from the airport to the city center

Bus

Public buses go at regular intervals between the airport and the city center.

Public bus lines:

  • The bus line no 27 goes daily every hour from 7.00 to 19.00 between the airport and the city center. Journey time approx. 20 min.
  • The bus line no 28 goes daily every hour from 7.30 to 19.30 between the airport and the city center. Journey time approx. 20 min.

Costs: single ticket € 1.50

Tickets are available at the newstand in the airport terminal.

Taxi

A taxi stand can be found in front of the airport terminal. Transfer airport-city center is approx. 15 minutes.
