Trends and Challenges in Building XR devices

Abstract

Augmented and Virtual Reality (XR) has tremendously grown thanks to the advances in computer vision over the last decade. We have now multiple generations of commercial devices for consumer and professional markers. However integrating all the computer vision driven features in a small and mobile device presents a unique set of challenges. I will talk about new features that are coming to XR devices and how the strict constraints of user experience and small devices shapes the design of computer vision systems.
