Forensic Science International: Digital Investigation
In a world where deepfakes have reached a very high quality and realism, a new cognitive bias has emerged related to the doubt that pervades a person who sees a digital image or video as well as listens to an audio. A priori doubt about the veracity of these multimedia: are they real or fake?
We named this systematic doubt “impostor bias,” from impostor syndrome.
And we are overjoyed to announce that the paper in which we give it birth has been accepted in Forensic Science International: Digital Investigation (Q1 in Law, Medical Lab Technology, Pathology and Forensic Medicine; Q2 in Computer Science Applications and Information Systems)!
