Smoking remains a global health challenge, and innovation is key. Wearable sensors, apps, and AI show promise, but real-world impact requires better integration and validation. Our review of 49 studies (2019-2023) explored the current landscape and future directions.
This work was a major collaboration across several Università di Catania departments, including Mathematics and Computer Science, Educational Sciences, Medclin Unict and the CoEHAR.
