MICCAI 2024

Happy to announce that our paper “TADM: Temporally-Aware Diffusion Model for Neurodegenerative Progression on Brain MRI” has been accepted at the main conference of MICCAI 2024, the top-tier conference in medical imaging with an acceptance rate of 30% this year.
This work introduces TADM, a novel approach based on diffusion models to accurately infer progression in brain MRIs, by learning the distribution of structural changes in terms of intensity differences between scans at different ages. During training, TADM leverages a pre-trained Brain-Age Estimator (BAE) to guide the diffusion model generation, enhancing its ability to produce accurate MRIs that match the expected age gap between baseline and generated scans.
